The Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara on Thursday formalised his defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This was as he submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms to re-contest the Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa federal constituency seat in the 2019 election at the national secretariat of the PDP in Abuja.

The Speaker was issued nomination forms of the PDP for 2019 election last week by some constituents.

“I have decided to come back to PDP” Dogara told the jubilant crowd.

Meanwhile, a tweet on PDP’s verified social media handle said the Speaker was at its secretariat with his hundreds of decampees from the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“Breaking! The Honourable Speaker of the House of a Representatives, @YakubDogara has just submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the National Leadership of the @OfficialPDPNig.

“He was at the Secretariat with hundreds of decampees from @OfficialAPCNg,” PDP said on Twitter.
