Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has again chided President Muhammadu Buhari, asserting that the President is sick in the body, mind and soul, and should be helped by being sacked from politics through Nigerians’ votes in 2019.
After Obasanjo had in a 16-page statement accused Buhari of planning to rig the February 16 election and returning Nigeria to the Abacha era, the presidency replied by saying: “our first message to the former President is that he needs a good doctor for good treatment and to say to him, ‘Get well soon’.”
But speaking with BBC Yoruba on Monday, Obasanjo stated, “Buhari has health issues in his body, mind and soul. We should implore him to quit politics. He should go and rest. He has done his best.
“We should give someone else a chance. Some people usually ask me, if the person I support fails them.
“But my honest reply has always been that such is the beauty of democracy, if he fails, he will be replaced too,” the former president averred.
