Osinbajo fires DSS DG, Daura

The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, on Tuesday directed the termination of the appointment of the Director General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, the Acting President directed Daura to “hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice”.
This development may not be unconnected with the blockade of the entrance to the National Assembly complex on Tuesday by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Daura had been reported to have attended a late night meeting with the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole and some APC senators, where plot to forcefully impeach the Saraki President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, were said to have been perfected.
