Mocking the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration over scarcity of petrol in the country, former Jigawa governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, jeered that APC national leader, Bola Tinubu, missed an event he was slated to deliver a speech because his car is queued up for petrol.
Speaking at the Annual Trust Dialogue holding in Abuja on Thursday, Lamido said Tinubu could not attend the event “because his car is there on fuel queue in Lagos. He could not get fuel to come to this event.”
At the 15th edition of the dialogue with the theme; “Nigeria and the challenges of 2019,” he stated that President Muhammadu Buhari should lead a protest against the fuel situation.
Tinubu, represented by an associate, Wale Edun, had earlier delivered his address at the event where he called for scrapping of any subsidy on petroleum.
The former Lagos governor pointed out subsidy “does not favour the poor but only a few elites”.
